The German Bread Haus has an excellent german bread, the place is a wonderful option for vegan people, the bread has healthy ingredients, and the flavor is excellent. The personal is very friendly and the prices are very good. I live in California and I order Stollen with them every Chritsmas because is the best Stollen! I love this place!

The Bread Haus was a regular stop back in the day when I lived in Fort Lauderdale, but I've had to skip it during my last few visits because my Dad is avoiding bread and sweets. Bummer. But THIS TIME, I stopped in and picked up some treats to bring home to Charlotte. Oh, my. A pound and a half of rugaleh (bite-size pastries) and some almond horns (contains only almonds, marzipan and egg whites). Oh, yummy day. Hopefully these will survive the flight because I might have to nibble on some. Interestingly, the gal who helped us and said that she was the one who made the almond horns was South Asian and not German at all. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

Lovely little bakery, and one of the few that offer something vaguely akin to möhn roll around here. They also have a number of creative and nutritious breads. Unfortunately they insist on putting RAISINS in their otherwise delicious möhn, which ruins the experience. Also, avoid their pastry dough, unless you like enough grease in your strudel to lubricate a railway

This is a german bread bakery. They don't have a great variaty of items but whatever they do it's really good. Also you can find cookies and cake pieces that are amazinly good. All this if you like german stuff of course. It's not for everyone.

This place caught our attention from the road because of its retrofunky gingerbread house look. We walked in and there's literally standing room for only 4 or 5 people max. The same German owner has been baking bread here for over 30 years! The breads look impressive. About 6 or 7 varieties, many dark and multigrain. Several organic choices and the lady behind the counter said that they grind their own flour! She also said that they sell their breads at Publix and WholeFoods and sure enough, later that day at WholeFoods I saw them on display. Prices seem high at first for a loaf, most just under 10 dollars, but given the ingredients, quality and attention, it does make sense. They also sell several types of German cookies and strudels (puff pastry with Apple or berry or cheese filling). We opted for glazed gingerbread man cookies and almond horns. The cookies were soft and pretty good but not over the top and they are pricey for 3 a piece. The horns were excellent! Moist and crumbly marzipan, baked to perfection. I'd go back for one of those next time I'm in the area.

I ordered a strudel hoping it was going to be like the ones grandma used to make... it was good but it was not as good as I hoped. The service staff was great and they promised to make it better next time, so I'll give them another chance.

I stopped in on Saturday and bought a cheese strudel. It was absolutely horrible! The strudel was either spoiled or not well made. The "cheese" tasted like sour cream and vinegar, so I'm assuming it was spoiled. Not a good first experience and I won't be back after wasting $7 on something that my husband and I took one bite out of and then threw in the garbage. The second "star" is because the small bread sample I tried was good. Update: the owner sent me a message to apologize and offer me money back. That says they care. If it weren't so far, I'd take them up on their offer, but I don't get up that way more than a few times a year.

This is some of the best bread you will be able to find in all of south florida. I'm someone who was raised on white bread but came to work here when I lived next to it. After getting used to organic and whole grain bread I fell in love with it The owners aren't very nice to their staff, but they are very dedicated to their shop and customers. Along with the bread, all of their baked goods are delicious. Try the oatmeal raisin cookie. :]

We often buy their bread even though they are located twenty miles away from my house. The bread is delicious and fresh. It is bit on a pricy side, but it is worth it.

Excellent bread made with excellent ingredients. I appreciate organic when I can get it and well-made bread is just plain worth it. The dark rye and seed bread weren't cheap, but if I'm gonna eat bread, this is the quality I want, and I'm willing to pay for it. (We were visiting the area so this isn't an everyday thing, though it could be.) Great taste, great texture, great old-world quality. We also bought some pastries and cookies and were very pleased with everything we purchased there.

Love this place! This bread is so good it is worth the price. They use organic flour. If I am ever in the area I buy several loaves and give some to neighbors while they are fresh. It is so good it even beats Fresh Market on the flavor and quality. Just remember that they are a small independent and when they are out of one type then that is it for the day.

The best bread ever!! Very fresh, high quality and quite tasty. I docked them for the price - a little high in my opinion, even for a specialty shop. They offer free samples of their breads too, which I recommend before you make your first purchase.
